persimmons + pineapple guavas

I drove up to wine country last week with some friends, and we bought some persimmons and pineapple guavas. The trees were growing in someone's backyard, and they were selling them at a stand by the street.

I had never seen a pineapple guava before. It smells like bubble gum! I cut one open when it was soft, and ate it with a spoon. It tastes like bubble gum, too!
