Stag Plants

My house is filled with plants that I pretend are pets. These stag plants are by far the most unique and fun. I have two. Apparently they're pretty hard to find.

Stagasaurus1 has grown lots of stag leaves since I first got it, and doing much better than Stagasaurus2:

I heard that bananas were good for the soil, so I put a peel in Stagasaurus2, but it ended up attracting those bugs that roll up into little balls and look like armadillos. Great. Stags can get really big, so I'm hoping Stagasaurus2 will recover.

http://mgonline.com/stag.html has more photos and information on stag plants. Gotta love the "wild stags in Thailand". Sounds like a prehistoric beastie on the prowl...

hey are they called stag plants......because they are sexy?

oh, wait that would be stud plants, nevermind.

i think those bugs are actually called 'armadillo bugs' you nailed it!
(i love those bugs....and they are a sign of healthy soil, and well, decomposition, so maybe the banana was a good idea......next time cut it up smaller and bury it....also eggshells are good for soil. but be careful it all is about chemicals and ph balance, if your plants don't like it well, ouch! eggshell=calcium, banana peel=potassium. but before anything do stags like acidic or alkaline soil VERY important.)
bye bye
