yikes!
we had a 5.6er in the bay area last night.
this website is great: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/
seconds after i felt the earthquake, i logged onto this site, and it was already recorded. another minute or so later, and the magnitude was recorded. you can get lots more info about it with an interactive map, plus you can record if you felt it. they show you all the recorded results for your area. cool!
